I got mine 3 weeks ago. I've got 2 words only for this stuff: 'Below expectation"

1st of all, I've got the problems that you guys mentioned:
1- Hang - not always though. Sometimes when I pushed the on/off button, it did not shut down.
2- Bad user interface - ASTRO should have design based on current DMT at least, or better.
3- "Snowing" symptom.
4- No antenae in/out - fyi, I need it to connect it to my 2nd TV set upstairs.
5- Yup the remote is confusing... I am still got confused till now.
6- Recording stop ~5minutes before the programme ends.

Anyway, I paid for it... and I am quite happy with the fact that I can now control my TV programme.
But still I am trying to find some information if I can transfer the movie to my PC. What is the use of the RS232 port, right?

Got my astro max a coupla months ago. I also had problems of system hangs but it only happens once in a while. The remote is confusing to use at first but after a while you'll get use to it (i'm talking about the white & gray directional keys).

A question .. can we transfer the recordings from astro max to pc???

I can't believe why Yahoo Mail didn't support Safari since both All-New Yahoo Mail and Safari 3 are beta..... I hope Yahoo should work with Apple for making All-New Yahoo Mail fully compatible to Safari 3 for Mac and Windows....

I got my max somewhere Jan 07. Lately certain programmes after delete will reappeared again the next time I operate. Worst still, after re-delete those programme, the last most recorded programme will indicate "Not Found". Fed up.

ok la,reporter tu ada silap sikit berkenaan definisi ayat.Yg cuba diutarakan sebenarnya adalah ceritera kartun2 tak bermoral sebenarnya.Niat yg baik.

Hakiki-siapa gerangan di M'sia ni yg berani jual benda2 tak senonoh ni utk duit, duit datang dulu rosak akhlak belakang kira...tepuk dada tanya selera, kalau takde beruk, masakan pokok bergoyang-goyang.

I believe that kcchong is correct. The reporter Faizal Zakaria is, without doubt, an Anti-Anime guy. Judging by his news article, I would certainly say that he is merely trying to make our country go Anti-Anime. If he says 'Anime' is the term to refer 'Porno Cartoons,' that would mean ALL ANIME WE WATCHED ON TV are PORN.

The examples of the Animes that were aired, from years ago to just recently (one long list to be expected):
Angelic Layer- Last shown on NTV7, recently shown on TV9
Cardcaptor Sakura- Last shown on NTV7
Detective Conan- Currently airing on TV3 and 8TV
Doraemon- Currently airing on NTV7
Kiteretsu- Currently airing on TV3
Naruto- Currently airing on TV3
M.A.R. (Marchen Awakens Romance)- Currently airing on TV3
Crush Gear Turbo- Last shown on TV3
Ragnarok the Animation- Last shown on NTV7
Digimon- Last shown on NTV7
Digimon 02- Last shown on NTV7
Digimon Tamers- Last shown on NTV7
Prince Of Tennis- Currently airing on NTV7
Fullmetal Alchemist- Currently airing on TV3

These Animes that were aired on tv are mostly for children and teenagers. If you managed to watch these Animes, you might notice that the majority of the characters (if I was correct) are children, some of them are cute girls. And of course, these particularly adorable and funny characters are not lolis (The hentai version of child female characters).

Actually, what I'm trying to say is one thing: The article is telling what the reporter himself made up- 100% false facts due to his lack of research. Anyway, forgive me if I have said something offensive.

Speaking about "geotagging": do you know locr?

locr offers the ideal solution and makes geotagging exceptionally easy. locr uses GoogleMaps with detailed maps and high-resolution satellite images. To geotag your photos just enter address, let locr search, fine-tune the marker, accept position, and done! If you don't know the exact address simply use drag&drop to set the position.

For automatic geotagging you need a datalog GPS receiver in additon to your digital camera. The GPS receiver data and the digital camera data is then automatically linked together by the locr software. All information will be written into the EXIF header.

Use the "Show in Google Earth" button to view your photos in Google Earth.

With locr you can upload photos with GPS information in them without any further settings. In the standard view, locr shows the photo itself, plus the place it was taken. If you want to know more about the place where the photo was taken, just have at look at the Wikipedia articles which are also automatically assigned to the picture.

Have a look at www.locr.com.
