With Google and Zoho bringing office suite software to the web. Adobe might just follow up, in bringing their flagship product the Adobe Photoshop to the web. It will of cause be a slim down web based photoshop application.
Imagine if you could upload, edit, and share photo online. This type of service will do great if it were to pair up with an online photo sharing service such like Flickr. According to the report, Adobe is planing a deal with another photo sharing site, Photobucket.
My guess the web app will be powered using Flash based technology. As most of Adobe’s web projects are powered by Flash. Also Adobe did bought over Macromedia, so Flash technology is at their disposal.
Online web based photo editing service is not a new thing. There are already a number of site that are offering such a service, Snipshot, Pixenate, Phixr and Picnik. Some of these web based photo editing site allows you to upload you photo, edit it and then save it (send it) to a photo sharing site like Flickr or Photobucket.
Adobe is expected to have something coming up in three month time. Until then lets just sit back a see, slowly how the web is becoming the OS.
