Computer Wizardry, Esoteric Spirituality, and Mind-altering Substances

We had already seen all the Nintendo’s marketing promotion video on it’s new system the Wii. The message was that Wii would appeal to both gamers and non-gamers. Something that everybody can enjoy.
Someone brought his Wii console to a thanksgiving dinner and let his non-gamer parent-in-law to try it out. It was a success. You can see on the video documented how easy it is to pick up the Wii controls ‘Wiimote’ and start playing.
The Wiimote idea is truly a revolution in HCI, human computer interaction. The ideal user interface to a system is not having any interface. Usually when you pick-up a Xbox or PlayStation controller, you will immediately need to map and remember each button to each action on the game. While on the Wii the controls is intuitive. Your action is the controls.
Wiii is truly a ‘revolution’.
For those who still doesn’t know which console to get, this video might help out.
