textmate

textmate halloween iconFirst of, Textmate pop up a box telling me there was an update yesterday. Download, install, relaunch and there was a spider web in the main window and the Textmate icon had change to something scary looking.

I didn’t quite get it at first, until I read about it at TUAW and Textmate blog. It’s Halloween. Sure Malaysia is a country full of festival, but the pagan festival, Halloween is not one that is been celebrated much over here. Pardon me for being clueless on this. The spider web totally caught me off-guard.

It’s good to know that developers and programmers in the Mac community do have their sense of humor. It’s always nice to see people are having fun in what they do.

On a completely other topic, I wont be blogging here as much as I use to for this few weeks. Currently I got my hands full finalizing my final year project as I’m on my final semester on my studies.

It starts out as something that I have to do just to get my grade and graduate, now the project has become something much more. Of all the web projects I’ve done in the past this is the most awesome project ever, at least for me.

I will be presenting the project on the 20th November 2006 in front of a panel of lecturers and the final year project committee. After that I’ll setup a live demo for anyone who is interested in trying it out. I am happy to give a demo personally for those who are really interested.

The details of the project? well that’s something I would like to keep to classified for now. More details will be made clear soon. There will be a page / site here dedicated to the project, with all the details. For now I need to get this thing up and squash all the nasty bug to a state where it’s worthy to at least be called a ‘Beta’.

I never thought code editors could be works of art until I started using TextMate. :)

I went from Smultron to TextWrangler to skEdit to Aquamacs to TextMate. TextMate blows them all away.

    TextMate for Prime Minister!
