So the rumors of Microsoft is developing a iTunes / iPod killer was true. It even has a name, Zune. Found this peace of news from TechCrunch today. Microsoft has confirm that they are making a new portable music player with integrated service called Zune.

Two company employee working on Zune are also blogging about it. Cesar Menedez, on ZuneInsider.com and Richard Winn writing on his blog called Madison and Pine.

There is also a site, CommingZune.com (funny it sort of sounds like ‘coming soon’). You can submit your emails if you would like to be notified on further information about Zune.

So will Zune be a iTunes / iPod killer? We’ll just have to wait and see.
