Congratulation to the Italians for winning the World Cup. It wasn’t one of the best game in the competition but it’s a dramatic one nevertheless. Well this is not going to be a blog about the beautiful game, but more on the coverage of the finals event on the web.

I’m sure everybody saw (or have heard) about the misunderstanding that result in Zidane being awarded a red card. Moments after that, the video of the even is all over YouTube.

YouTube is a web based video sharing service that is gaining a lot of mentions lately. Infect I think it is safe to say that YouTube now has kicked Google Video service.

Back to Zidane, you can see the video of Zidane’s headbutt here, and here is the video of the whole exchange. Speculation says that Materazzi twisted Zidane’s nipple, but I think what really happen was just a misunderstanding. Look at the video, clearly Materrazi wasn’t looking at where he is going, and Zidane was looking down to see if his shoe laces were untied and Materrazi’s chest colide with Zidane’s head.

Well you could see that I was rooting for France last night, and that is the story I’m sticking to.

Over at Technorati, it’s all about the World Cup and Zidane’s headbutt. Top three search terms on Technorati are “Zidane”, “World Cup” and “Zidane Headbutt”. Most of the hottest tags are related to the World Cup.

Taechnorati is a web service that keeps track of what going on in the blogosphere. They are the authority on what’s going on in the world of weblogs. Another new emerging blogosphere search engine service that looks promising is Sphere.com. I’ve talked about Sphere in the past.

Sure Google is an awesome search engine if you are looking for some site, but if you are looking to search for topic discussion the blogoshpere is the place to look for, Technorati and Sphere.com is one of the best tool to do it.

See how I cleverly include Web stuff in my post about World Cup.
