I’ve not been to Slashdot for quite awhile. In this era of Digg and other social bookmarking services with RSS feeds I keep visiting less of Slashdot.

Slashdot just doesn’t appeal to me, may be because of it’s crappy web design, but not anymore. I just notice they changed their layout. That just shows how long have I been stop caring about Slashdot.

They have re-design the site to have a clean CSS framework underneath. This means they could easily change the look and feel of the site by updating the CSS files. They should have a competition to see who could come out with an awesome CSS design for the layout, oh wait, they already did that.

Anyway the new Slashdot layout looks a little bit up-to-date. Gradients here, a little bit there. Rounded corners here, there. It has the “Web 2.0-ish� looks, it’s clean and simple, just how I like it.
