Flickr goes Gamma

I adore Flickr. I do think it’s just the best website for sharing your photo. Part of what makes the Flickr experience so great is that there are actually a lot of people who are passionate about photography are using it and you can find them and connect with them easily.

The social expect of Flickr is really the fun part. Add somebody as a contact and you can have their latest picture on your contacts page.

It seems that Flickr has pass their Beta phase and now on Gamma. Are you allowed to do that? Will this be the next trend? Alpha, Beta then Gamma? I notice there are some changes on the Flickr UI in this so called Gamma version.

There is now a new navigation, it looks more organize this way. There are five navigation controls; You, Organize, Contacts, Groups, and Explore. Each has a drop down menu with specific task. Everything feels faster to access, more accessible this way.

The organizer is much better now. Drag & drop photos to edit them in batch. Create sets and add photos. All very easy to pick up.

So if you looking for a site where you could upload photos and share them with your friends and family I insist on checking out Flickr. If you want to waste tons of time looking at great photographs, I suggests you look at Flickr too.
