Newsvine is finally open to public. No more invites. To sum up Newsvine, I call it a social news aggregator. It’s similar to Digg in the sense that you could vote on the news to the front page. Newsvine gets live news from Associated Press but Newsvine members are also encourage to submit their own news findings. Read more about Newsvine on my previous post.

What’s new since I wrote about Newsvine?, I notice now they’ve got a better way of tracking your comments that you’ve made on articles / news on Newsvine.

You could also manage your region. Choose what region you want to watch and have news that concerns that region pulled to you.

Newsvine did mention something about revenue sharing. Every Newsvine member has his or her own column. Any news they write or feed will be on their column. Newsvine members could gain some revenue from ads on their column. This function however is still in the works.

Newsvine have change the way I read get my news, try it out.
