Blood was pumping, everybody was psyched up for something really exciting. Wide screen iPod video. So what was there?

First of the Intel-based Mac Mini. Same size, twice the speed. Mac Mini now comes with Front Row with Bonjour support. You could set Mac Mini connected to your home theater setup, use Apple’s Front Row remote play DVDs, Songs from iTunes, Videos, Slide Shows of your Photos.

With Bonjour, the cute little Mac mini could ‘find’ other photos, videos, music form other Macs on your home network. This might just be Apple’s entry to the Media Center market. By the way Steve Jobs did say that soon every Mac will come with Apple’s remote. Sweet!

Next iPod Hi-Fi. It’s basically an iPod speakers, iPod boom box. It has an iPod dock that charge your iPod. Comes with Apple remote, you could use it to control the music play, from across the room.

Comes with analog and digital optical input jack, so you could connect your computer or and Airport Express to use as a speaker. It also runs on six D-cell batteries and has handles built into the plastic shell, which makes it “portable� I guess.

As for the video iPod being overly hype and rumor, it is just that, an over hype rumor. Some how, I still want to believe that it’s true. Jyunderwood poster at Flickr best describe it.
