I did a very simple little Web application that uses Amazon Web services to get images of Music CD album cover art some time ago. I call the project as Project J.A.W.S which stands for Jiboneus Amazon Web Services. I like playing with Web services.

Here’s an update for Project J.A.W.S. There is now a better version of the cover art Web app. You can try it out here, http://jaws.jiboneus.com/music

This is never intended to be an actual product, just playing around with Amazon Web Services. The things you can do (so far) is, search for an artist or an album or both and the site will give out information about the Music CD such as tracks, the cover art and review, or a list of albums.

You can use the site to get music CD cover art.

Use it to read reviews of the CD from Amazon customer. Think of it as a amazon lite.

There is also a little box on the right side that suggest to you similar albums to the album you are watching at the moment.

This was never intended to be an actual product. While I welcome constructive feedbacks, don’t expect any of the bugs or features recommend to be add quickly. I’m doing this on my spare time. You are welcome to post feedback on the comment or write to me.

Of cause there are tons of other feature being plan for this. There will be other version of it that deals with books and DVDs. I’m also open to any suggestion.

Try it out, enjoy.
