Google trying out OSX’s Dashboard Widgets. Just announce over at Google’s blog. Yup, it’s just for us Mac folks. So far there are 3 Widgets :-

  1. Blogger widget - A quick and easy way to post on blogger.
    Blogger Widget
  2. Gmail widget - Your Gmail inbox at a glance.
    Google Gmail Widget
  3. Search History - Remember the page you search.
    Google Search History Widget

Search History requires you to sign up for Google personalize search services. I’m neither a Google personalize search services user nor a Blogger user, so I can’t comment much on both of the widgets.

However I do like the Gmail widget. Sure there are tons of other widget that does shows your Gmail inbox, but I like this one from Google more.

Click on the indox button will bring up your Gmail account in your default browser. Click on the compose button will bring up only your Gmail compose mail window. Click on an individual mail will bring up only the email conversation on your default browser window.

Give it a try.
