I’ve been a fan of 37signals and their design and development philosophy. They are the one behind Basecamp - the Web base project management tool, Backpack - information manager, Writeboard - Web base collaborative writing, Ta-da List - simple fast Web base to-do list manager. Not to forgot they are also the one that brought forward Ruby on Rails.

Their new product Campfire - Web base group chat tool, is launching soon. There is a screenshot and video of Campfire in action. It looks pretty interesting, You can chat and it seems that you can pass files such as images, pdf, videos through Campfire. All chat looks well organize in transcript with all the files attach. Be sure to keep an eye on it.
