English to Malay Translation

LinguaWeb logoRecently I installed and play around with WordPress translation program. Would you want to see Blog.Jiboneus in Malay? Well now you can.

LinguaMatixis a local Malaysian company developing real-time English to Malay translation application. You could try their web version, LinguaWeb. Here Blog.Jiboneus in Malay.

As like any other language translation tool out there, Google and babelfish, its kinda of off. Ok, sometime it’s extremely off. It translate one of my blog post, “FeedButler, Digg for feeds” into “FeedButler, Digg untuk memberi makan”. It says “FeedButler, Digg for give food to” it associate the word “feeds” to “giving food”, hilarious. May be LinguaMatix need to update the translator on tech terms and lingo.

I hope they made an API or something and someone could create a WordPress or FireFox plugin.

As founder of the first acting “system”,co-founder of the Mascow Art Theatre(1897-),and an eminent practitioner of the naturalist school of thought,Konstantin Stanislavski unequivocally challenged traditional notions of the dramatic process, establishing himself as one of the pioneering thinkers in modern theatre.

What is the meaning of Malay? The question seems strange and unnecessary. Malays live in Malaysia, where they are the major population group. Malay are found in Indonesia, in Sumatera and along the coast of Indonesia Borneo. At first glance, it all seems very straightforward, but for centuries definations, boundaries and origins of this word of southeast Asia have proved elusive, and it seems unlikely that the word will acquire any greater precision in the future. This question lies at the core of the present collection, and while the reader will emerge knowing a great deal more abot the term and the problems it generates, the authors are wise enough not to try to resolve the conundrum.

    Introduction

Small firms have been increasingly recognised as the back bone of economic development in western economies. Many of these have had their beginnings in entrepreneurial visions that have grown to become substantial and profitable enterprises (Storey et al., 1987; O’Farrell, 1986). However, this growth potential has been dependent on individual(s) maintaining an entrepreneurial effort. Failure to maintain this effort has on too many occasions arrested that growth and exposed the small firm to often devastating challenges, the result being decline and ultimately business failure. This paper suggests that small firm company growth and successful development is dependent on the continuance of the entrepreneurial effort.

A key aim of this paper is to show the appropriateness and efficacy of a single case study/action science methodology as an approach to the development of marketing skills in a small firm. The contextual focus of the research is on the entrepreneurial firm in transition and since the nature of this transition depends on the individual lead entrepreneur, it is necessary to examine the literature on the type of individuals who own and direct the fortunes of growth focused firms. Such firms are faced with constant change and the associated risks. Such changes however, expose gaps in the personal competency portfolios of the lead entrepreneur and other company personnel. This paper therefore, also considers as a contextual issue, personal competency gaps, with respect to marketing planning, vital for ensuring ongoing success in the firm. It is important therefore, to examine marketing planning difficulties in such firms.
