FeedButler, Digg for feeds

FeedButler logoWe all know Digg. It is a tech news site that the users influence what would come up on the front page. Users submit stories and other users vote on it. FeedButler does all that except instead of user submitted story, it grabs them from feeds. You then could mark any stories you find interesting. Top mark stories will be promoted to the top stories section.

FeedButler is a FREE web-based feedreader with social bookmarking and non-hierarchical editorial control.

All stories are automaticly added using feeds submitted by the users. When a new story is imported from a feed it is placed in the new stories section.

When enough users has marked a new story as cool it is promoted to the frontpage also called topstories.

We just see if this idea will take off, but if you wish to kill some time reading random blogs check out the new story section on FeedButler. And if you register and found a story you like you can mark it and it will be stored within your user profile.

You can put anybody in you friend list and you then could watch what stories they mark. I think if you could add blogs or feeds to your watch list would be great. Currently new stories section shows all the latest stories gather from all the feeds, an option where I could watch new stories only from feeds on my watch list would be great.
