LifeLogger Upgrade.

LifeLogger screenshotsLifeLogger have been around for quite sometime. It’s an online services that lets you post your photo that you took from your mobile phone. Haven’t played around with LifeLogger for quite sometime.

LifeLogger has just upgrade. You can now post your thoughts, audio, video, and bookmarks. I did post on it’s forum last time something about tags (tagging of the photos) and RSS feed for the photos. Both of them are available now in this new LifeLogger upgrade.

The RSS feed however, is not what I wish it would be. I want to be able to pull photos from LifeLogger. The “item” enclosure on LifeLogger’s RSS currently looks like this :-

<item>
  <title>In Class</title>

What I’m hoping was something more like Flickr’s RSS where I could get the photos on my RSS reader. May be the RSS feed should look something like this? :-

It will be great if we can pull the photos from the site via RSS not just links to the photos.

There are AJAX-y feel all over the site, thats cool. Overall, kudos to the LifeLogger team for doing a great job. But there are still something I wish to see.

  1. To be able to pull photos via RSS.
  2. Currently I can only search in my photos. I would love to be able to search other people’s photo too. Imagine if I could search for all photos tag with “food” or something.
  3. It would be great if there are an overall tag cloud on the main site so I can see what tag is more popular.
  4. A RSS feed of all the tags is also great. I can subscribe to the tag “cute” or “babe” and can have new photos which are tagged with those words come out on my RSS reader.
  5. I do miss the scrolling list of newly added picture on the site, just like the old version of LifeLogger.

Well, looking at my LifeLogger “wishlist” it seems that there are a lot of fun stuff that LifeLogger could do with the “tagging” feature being implement. I hope those are in the pipeline for the final product (I notice there was a “Beta” sign on the top left of the site).

I could not find the LifeLogger forum anymore, wanted to congratulate LifeLogger developer. Wonder will they stumble on my blog?

P/S: Damn!,.. now I really need a better camera phone. Photo taken from my Z600 are crappy.

wow… so efficient one.. They can hear you.

I thought flickr has stopped the access of linking photos from other sites ?

I think very unlikely for lifeblogger provide access of photo stored in it and to be accessible elsewhere.. because then many would manipulate it as a mere online storage.

    I think so onli.

Hehe great to know LifeLogger developers read my blog.

You can still access Flickr photos via RSS. If you look at my main blog, on the right, there got 5 photo, all are being pulled via RSS from my flickr account. That is acctually what I was hoping to do with LifeLogger photos RSS feeds.
