Computer Wizardry, Esoteric Spirituality, and Mind-altering Substances
When I first install OSX Tiger I start downloading tons of Dashboard widgets just because it looks cool. None of them are any useful to me though, and I get bored of them later on.
I downloaded OSX 10.4.4 and made the upgrade, part of the upgrade are some new widgets. Yet again nothing useful to me. ESPN widget doesn’t have football (by football I mean the beautiful game soccer). I don’t need to now the ski condition.
I decided to check out other widgets over at Apple’s site to find any useful ones.

Sol is a simple widget but a great one for me. What it does is tells you the time of sunrise and sunset. It got a analog 24-hour clock that shows daytime and nighttime. This is good for me, you see, I’m a creature of the night. I usually spend the night coding or doing other work and spend the day to sleep, in class, in between classes. This widgets shows me how long I have till dawn.

Wikipedia widget is useful too. Sometime I found myself using wikipedia to know about something more then Google. A Wikipedia widgets is a must. Why i didn’t think of it back then.

Next is BitMemo. This one is really cool. It’s like a scrapbook. You can take selection screenshots to the memo, write text, manage multiple memo, available in 8 color skins. I could write down my thought, store screen shows of images i saw. Check it out.

Lastly Wireless Grapher. A Dashboard widget that graphs the wireless connection. Nothing really useful, I just like to see the pretty colors.
So do you have a favorite widget? share it on the comments.
