Protopage V2.0

Protopage is an personal portal. Unlike the other personal portal, Protopage is all about the looks, and thats about it actually. Being made to fit in the era of web2.0 it’s all AJAX-y an all.

So far what Protopage does is that it give you a desktop like webpage, with drag-able window penel and stuff. Currently you can only add sticky notes, for you to have your notes or to-do list, a link panel, you could have link stored there and lastly is a feed panel where you could save RSS, Atom, or OPML feeds, basically a feed aggregator.

I don’t know why, but whenever I use Protopage, I feel that it’s going to break. It doesn’t feel stable. But it never break. It’s stable but just feel that it isn’t.

The notes panel is great but there is a problem you need to have your computer connected to the Internet. If you tend to switch computers a lot, Protopage is great for you.

The link panel is seriously lacking. It should have integration with del.icio.us or something. Make it so when we save the link it goes to our del.icio.us page.

The feed aggregator feels fine but i still rather read my feed from safari or flock or firefox. Again if you often switch computers a lot, then Protopage is something that you should look into.

As for me, I still waiting for google/ig to add the function that enable us to add our feeds.
